The SEAOI SE Exam Refresher Course is by far the best established and most comprehensive structural engineering exam preparatory class available today and is available live streaming or on-demand. SEAOI’s SE Exam Refresher Course provides content as well as structure to help you prepare for the SE exam, consisting of 48 sessions (over 80 hours of instruction time) covering seven subject-area sections: Geotechnical, Design Loads: Seismic/Wind/Snow, Steel, Bridge, Concrete, Masonry, and Wood. You’ll also learn from the best -- SEAOI instructors are highly experienced professional structural engineers, and most of them also have collegiate-level teaching experience.
All classes are live-streamed on Monday and Thursday evenings, 6:00-7:45 pm (central time). Recordings will be available the next day.
Yes! If you attend the live-streaming classes, you will be able to ask questions/for clarification in real-time with the instructor. You will also have regular opportunities to interact with the instructors during the study session zoom meetings (see schedule for instructor availability). Finally, most instructors provide their contact information directly to the students.
Recordings for each class will be posted one day after the live class and will remain available for one year from the course purchase date.
Each Wednesday during the Course, SEAOI will host a Zoom Room from 12 pm - 1 pm, open to all refresher course attendees. This will allow you to work through problems and questions together with your peers and share any helpful tips. Instructors will also be available on designated dates to answer specific questions, solve problems, and offer study tips, theories, etc.
Materials are emailed separately for each section of the class immediately before that section starts. Detailed information will be provided to registrants closer to the time the class begins.
Yes, SEAOI offers CE credit for these classes. Live stream attendees need to sign in for each session to get credit. On-demand attendees will need to complete a quiz after each content area of the class.
Detailed login instructions will be sent to online participants before the course starts in September.
